Am Cast mill transforms unwanted crusher byproduct into finished sand aggregate

Am Cast, which will be exhibiting at Silver Lot 6848 at ConExpo-Con/Agg, introduces its first line of capital equipment in the form of a sand mill that transforms typically unwanted crusher byproduct into a valuable finished sand aggregate. This is accomplished by using two rotors mounted horizontally within the crushing chamber that spins in opposite directions. Capable of handling aggregates up to 1.5 in., the Rocky yields 97 percent useable sand in a single pass through its crushing chamber. The plant is available as a stationary unit or as a transportable, self-contained unit. The unit comes equipped with all the necessary conveyor systems, a motor inverter to adjust the rpm and sand output, and even cost accounting features through the onboard Windows-based computer system. From concrete sand, bunker sand for golf courses, and Aglime, “there is endless potential for what this machine can do,” the company says. “The most appealing part: the fact that all of these sand products can be created from otherwise undesirable stockpiles of material.”
