Business-building sessions slated for NDA convention
The National Demolition Association (NDA) says its upcoming annual convention will feature a couple of educational sessions focused on identifying growth markets over the next five years and building company talent and presented by experts from FMI — a company that provides research to construction-related trade industries, including demolition.
The NDA’s 41st annual convention will be held Feb. 22 – 25 in Las Vegas, Nev. It is the largest exposition of demolition products and services in the world, the organization says.
On February 25, FMI Senior Consultant Grant Thayer will help business executives identify potential markets for their products and services in the next five years with his presentation, “The Current State of the American Construction Industry.”
Also that day, FMI’s Dr. Shirley Ramos will lead a session entitled, “Building Your Talent Pool for Future Growth” that will provide attendees with strategies to retain and recruit the best employees. She also will examine training and education trends, and innovations that can maximize employee performance and promote leadership.
The NDA convention will feature additional presentations, including one by former U.S. Secretary of Energy Dr. Stephen Chu, who will speak on innovation and energy. Other speakers will provide a common sense explanation of the Affordable Care Act as well as a look at NDA’s new member resources program. A Leadership Training Program will be held on Feb. 23 for key personnel.
Also scheduled to take place is the organization’s 27th annual golf tournament and a party with a “NDA in Paradise” theme.
