Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas added several machines to its equipment lineup within the past year. The company released two wheeled excavators, two crawler excavators, a compact excavator and a wheel loader.

Hyundai’s HW140 and HW210 wheeled excavators can be used on a range of on- and off-road applications. The company says these are its first wheeled excavators that come with Tier 4-compliant engines. The HW140 has an operating weight of 30,600 pounds and the HW210 has an operating weight of 46,740 pounds. The two excavator models include three-stage power modes to ensure high performance for working with heavy or light loads. The excavators will soon be available for the North American market.

The HX160L and HX180L crawler excavators from Hyundai debuted to the U.S. and Canadian markets last year. At 16 and 18 metric tons, Hyundai says these two machines meet the needs of customers in two of the most popular class sizes for crawler excavators. The operator’s cab in each of the HX excavator models includes an 8-in. interactive, adjustable touchscreen cluster-monitor with a haptic remote control. In addition, the cabs on the HX160L and the HX180L feature better climate control and space for operators.

Hyundai’s HX145LCR compact excavator also came to the U.S. and Canadian markets in 2015. Designed for working in confined spaces, the HX145LCR has a tail-swing radius of 4 ft., 11 in. When equipped with an 8-ft., 2-in. arm, the HX145LCR achieves a maximum dig depth of 18 ft., 1 in. and a maximum digging reach of 27 ft., 3 in. The machine also comes standard with an 8-in. interactive, adjustable touchscreen cluster-monitor in the cab.

Finally, Hyundai added the HL955TM to its lineup of HL900 series Tier 4 Final-compliant wheel loaders. This is available in both the U.S. and Canadian markets. The loader features the company’s tool master boom design with dual linkage for increased lifting capacity, rapid dumping capability and enhanced visibility. The HL955TM includes a 3.5-cu.-yd. bucket and delivers 28,219 pounds per ft. of breakout force.
