Komatsu's WA600-8 wheel loader includes improved hydraulics that reduce fuel consumption levels

Komatsu WA600-8 wheel loader

Komatsu Corp. debuted the WA600-8 wheel loader to its lineup. Equipped with a 529 hp Tier 4 Final engine, the wheel loader also features an enhanced lockup torque converter function and SmartLoader logic to achieve low fuel consumption and high travel speeds. The WA600-8 consumes up to 13 percent less fuel than its Tier 3 predecessor because Komatsu boosted the machine’s hydraulic efficiency, the company says. Komatsu increased the wheel loader’s standard bucket capacity to 9.2 cu. yd. The larger bucket size allows it to fill easier, retain material better and provide increased visibility. Komatsu adds that the cab includes high-back, heated seats that soften machine vibrations for operator comfort. Additionally, full rear fenders with steps and handrails at both sides of the machine improve convenience for daily inspections.
