Produces three aggregates, two sands on a single machine

Terex Washing Systems’ (TWS) Aggresand plant combines aggregate and sand washing on one modular chassis. The unit produces three aggregates and two sands. According to TWS, the Aggresand provides a throughput capacity of 250 tph and can be erected in one day. The plant is designed for efficient transport, the company says, because it fits into six shipping containers. Setup time is also sped up through “plug-and-play” plumbing and electrical wiring. The very first Aggresand is operating in Dowling’s Quarry in Abbeyleix, Ireland, and TWS planned to introduce the Aggresand to the North American market during a special event Nov. 21 in North Carolina. “The high performance two-deck vibrating grid allows us to feed material directly from the face of the quarry, at [about 8 in.]. Large material is scalped off while the minus [2-in.] material goes straight into the wash plant,” says Humphrey Dowling, Dowling’s Quarry owner. “This eliminates the need for expensive pre-screening of the feed material.”
