Trommel screen offers several design enhancements

Komptech‘s Nemus 2700 offers higher throughout with better material flow through the drum than Mustang trommels, the company says. Komptech’s goal in developing the Nemus 2700 was to add technological advancements while keeping the purchase price the same as its previous hydraulic trommel screens.

A new hopper design with steeper sidewalls creates less bridging, according to Komptech. A fine collection discharge belt can be mounted on either side, eliminating spillage that results from a two-part discharge system. Competitive drums can be used with the Nemus 2700, and the chassis is reinforced with stronger axles and brakes and wider tires. A one-piece brush cleans the drum.
