Vermeer partnered with the Iowa State University Research Park in Ames, Iowa, to create the Vermeer Applied Technology Hub at the school. The facility will house offices, meeting spaces and a high-bay space for testing and validation.

Vermeer will occupy about 23,000 of the 35,880 sq. ft. facility, with the additional space available for lease. Construction of the facility will take place throughout 2015 and early 2016. Vermeer plans to move into the facility in May 2016.

Vermeer says the space will allow Iowa State students and faculty to collaborate with Vermeer on technology advancements for the company’s industrial and agricultural equipment. The company says it has partnered with Iowa State students on seven projects since 2012.
