Edge to debut shredders at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2020

Edge Innovate will debut the HS750 and VS420 at ConExpo-Con/Agg this March.

Edge Innovate will debut two new waste shredders, the HS750 and VS420, at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas.

Both machines will join the company’s shredding line and will be on display at Edge’s S5233 booth in the outdoor Silver Lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, Edge will feature its TRT622 track-mounted trommel and redesigned TS100 track stacker at ConExpo-Con/Agg.

The HS750 offers operators a high-capacity, horizontal slow-speed shredder that can withstand difficult and resistant materials.

Powered by a Tier 4 Final Caterpillar C18 engine and providing 750 hp, the HS750 allows operators to choose from a range of customizable shredder programs while displaying feeder speed, rotor speed, hydraulic pressures, torque mode and average fuel consumption. In addition, all major functions can be controlled via radio remote, ensuring the machine can be operated by a single operator.

According to Edge, the HS750 was designed with serviceability in mind and incorporates design features to ensure improved access, making the shredder applicable for construction and demolition waste, utility poles and more.

VS420

Developed for versatility and resistance to contaminants, the VS420 is a high-capacity, high-torque twin-shaft shredder applicable for processing an array of materials, including construction and demolition waste.

The VS420 features twin 2-mt. synchronized high-torque shredder shafts that can be customized based on a customer’s application and desired product, and the twin-shaft design ensures less wear and prevents material wrapping, according to Edge.

Powered by a Caterpillar C9.3B Tier 4 Final ACERT engine with a power rating of 420 hp, the VS420 includes a range of rapid volume reduction and intricate piece sizing chambers, and can be deployed as either a primary or secondary shredder.

Other features of the VS420 include hydraulic hopper extensions with hydraulic locking mechanisms; a hydraulic height adjustable twin pole magnet; an automatic tipping hopper with remote functionality; and a “one point” service area that makes maintenance checks possible from just one vantage point.

In addition, the VS420 is suited for tracked, wheeled or hook-lift-mounted chassis formats with all major components accessible and easy to remove, according to Edge.
