Otto Breitschwerdt, vice president for building construction products at Caterpillar, was elected to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers‘ (AEM) construction equipment sector board.
Breitschwerdt, who joined Caterpillar in 1990, has served in a range of positions at the company, including operations, engineering, sales, marketing and supply chain. Prior to serving as vice president, Breitschwerdt was general manager of Cat’s building construction productions division, with global responsibility for design, manufacturing and marketing of construction equipment.
According to AEM, Breitschwerdt also has experience in a variety of work in both the U.S. and Brazil.
“I am looking forward to working with Mr. Breitschwerdt as a member of our CE sector board and gaining his perspective on the construction equipment industry,” says Megan Tanel, senior vice president of AEM’s construction equipment and utility sector. “He brings both a deep and broad knowledge base to AEM, especially when it comes to the construction equipment world in Latin America.”
