Magna to make Hillhead debut next month

The MT400C cone crusher and MT6S scalping screen will appear June 23-25 at Hillhead in the UK.

Magna, a Terex brand specializing in large‑scale crushing, screening and conveying solutions, will make its Hillhead debut next month and showcase two pieces of equipment.

The MT400C cone crusher and MT6S heavy‑duty scalping screen will both appear in Magna’s booth.

Magna also participated earlier this year in ConExpo-Con/Agg.

“Following a very strong response to the MT130J mobile jaw crusher, our flagship machine at ConExpo, Hillhead is an important next step for the brand,” says Neil McIlwaine, business line director at Magna. “It gives us the opportunity to introduce [the] MT400C and MT6S to customers, to show the scale, build quality and focus on output and reliability that underpin the Magna range.”

The MT400C

Developed to deliver high-output, large-reduction ratios and consistent cubical product shape for aggregate producers and contractors, Magna says the MT400C cone crusher incorporates a 10.4-cu.-yd. hopper and feeder, as well as an automated metal detection system and purge chute to protect the cone and minimize unplanned downtime.

According to Magna, the MT400C is equipped with full-hydraulic closed-side setting adjustment with electronic monitoring, a fuel-efficient direct drive system through a wet clutch, and a hydraulic tramp relief system with automatic reset.

Additional features include multiple liner configurations to suit a range of applications, cone overload protection, dust suppression and Magna telemetry as standard.

The MT6S

Magna engineered the MT6S, meanwhile, for high‑volume materials processing across quarrying, mining, construction and demolition debris, topsoil, recycling, sand, gravel, coal, ore and aggregate applications.

The mobile scalping screen offers a throughput of up to 800 metric tons per hour. It has the flexibility to be fed by a tracked crusher, shovel or excavator.

Magna says a 20-ft. x 6-ft. top-deck screen and an 18-ft. x 6-ft. bottom deck is at the core of the MT6S, which is mounted in a modular screenbox configuration. Hydraulic adjustment allows the screen angle to be set between 14 and 18 degrees, while the discharge end can be raised by 600 mm to simplify media access and changes.

All stockpiling conveyors feature hydraulic angle adjustment and extending head sections to maximize discharge height and stockpile capacity.
