Hyundai launches new compact track loader

Hyundai released the new HT30 compact track loader, a 72-hp machine designed for various applications that comes in three versions.

HD Construction Equipment Hyundai North America introduced the 72-hp HT30 compact track loader (CTL).

This follows last year’s debut of the 115-hp HT38 CTL.

With a frame size suited for a variety of applications, Hyundai says the HT30 is available from the factory in three versions: cab with high-flow, cab with standard flow and canopy with standard flow.

The HT30 accommodates a range of attachments, including buckets, brooms, grapples, augers, brush cutters, snow blowers and pushers, rakes and forks.

The HT30 cab version has a rated operating capacity of 3,072 pounds, and the HT30 canopy version has a rated operating capacity of 2,900 pounds. Both the HT30 and HT38 can lift to a pin height of 10 ft., 8 in. Cab versions have an operating weight of 11,141 pounds and the canopy version has an operating weight of 10,448 pounds.

Standard features on the HT30 include ride control, creep control, a hydraulic quick coupler, return-to-dig, lift-arm float and auto-self-leveling.

“The medium-frame HT30 gives customers across a range of applications the power, lifting capacity and versatility they need without buying more machine than their jobs require,” says Jason Taylor, compact equipment product manager at Hyundai. “These features increase productivity for newer and experienced operators alike.”

For operator comfort and productivity, the HT30 comes standard with torsion suspension, heat and air conditioning, a heated air-ride seat, Bluetooth and an 8-in. smart touch display.

“The operator is the most expensive ‘feature’ on the machine, and a comfortable operator is a more productive operator,” Taylor says.

Also standard are guarded exterior LED lights – two front and two rear. The cab versions include an escort light that stays on for 30 seconds after shutdown to help the operator safely exit the cab and the worksite.

Another feature of the new loader is ground access to all daily service and routine maintenance points. A PowerCore air filter and reversible fan help keep the engine free of dust and debris and running cooler for longer life, according to Hyundai, while a tilt-up cooling module enables easier cleaning of the cooling system for max airflow.
