Terex Corp. moved its Fuchs material handler business into its Terex Materials Processing segment.

According to Terex, this segment serves as a better fit for the Fuchs business than the broader Terex portfolio.

“The purpose-built Fuchs material handlers are integral to the long-term Terex business strategy and [are] a natural fit in the [Terex] Materials Processing segment,” says Kieran Hegarty, president of Terex Materials Processing. “We intend to grow and expand the Fuchs business globally beyond the line’s traditional scrap markets into such markets as timber, recycling and ports.”

According to Terex, the company plans to continue to implement a series of moves and investments to better position the Fuchs line for global expansion and sales growth. The company recently rebranded the business as “Fuchs – a Terex Brand” in key markets to give it more consistent global recognition.

In addition, the company named Jon Van Ruitenbeek as its new business line director for Fuchs in North America, Terex says. The company also appointed several key sales and support management roles for the Fuchs line in the North American and European markets.
