Bandit Industries expands facility for new employees, businessBandit Industries expanded its central Michigan plant for the fourth time in nine months to keep up with increasing demand for its equipment. This April, Bandit expanded its whole tree manufacturing facility.

“These four expansions have allowed us to add 80 full-time employees and add much-needed production,” says Jerry Morey, president of Bandit. “Surging demand for our products over the past two years has increased lead times longer than I like, and at times, it has cost us orders. The additional production capacity will reduce lead times by the end of the second quarter.”

Bandit expanded in October 2014 to increase space for rebuilding used machines, which allowed its Beast recycler line to increase production by 25 percent. The company grew again in November 2014 for increased production of electronic control panels. This past February, Bandit moved to a new facility to build drum chipper heads for hand-fed and whole tree chippers.
