Case showcases G Series wheel loaders

Case Construction Equipment debuted its G Series wheel loader lineup to the market.

Case Construction Equipment debuted its G Series wheel loader lineup to the market. The lineup includes the 521G, 621G, 721G, 821G, 921G, 1021G and 1121G wheel loaders.

Both the 1021G and 1121G apply to the aggregate industry. The 721G and above apply to the recycling and C&D markets.

“The 1121G is an application-specific machine,” says Ira Davis, product specialist at Case. “It’s designed for heavy-cycle use in quarries and pits. We’ve also made in-roads with lumber mills. They just have to add forks to these.”

According to Case, its G Series wheel loaders serve as an update to its F Series lineup. Case released its F Series wheel loaders about five years ago.

“When you break it down into key components, the engine capacity in the new lineup is different from the F Series,” says Andrew Dargatz, brand manager for wheel loaders at Case. “The electrical system is completely changed, the hydraulics are changed and the cab design is changed. Altogether, it offers better drive performance, so it’s a completely redone machine.”

Machine features

In addition, the 1021G and 1121G come with a reversible fan for easier access and cleaning.

“A customer ‘wow’ factor to these loaders is the fan in the back of the loader that opens up and has space inside,” Davis says. “There’s easy access to the fan.”

Case offers a range of bucket and linkage options to optimize each machine for its application. Linkage options include Z-bar, extended reach (XR) and tool carrier parallel lift configuration (XT).

Each loader comes with a four-speed power transition. The loaders provide a number of tire and axle options based on the operating environment. In addition, the G Series loaders include an electric rear hood lift for quick access to the engine compartment for ground-level serviceability.

“If I want to check oil, I don’t have to climb up on this machine,” Davis says. “It’s all done from the ground, which makes it easy to do these jobs daily. The hood also raises automatically.”

Inside the cab, Case integrated a membrane keypad to replace a series of rocker switches along with a new steering console that mimics conventional driving controls found in most cars and trucks. An 8-in. LCD monitor provides operators with insight on many of the loader’s functions and activities, including changing displays for day and night operation, information on operating parameters such as fuel levels or temperatures, and an integrated rearview camera.

“The cab features a symmetrical layout and provides users with more legroom,” Dargatz says. “It works for people from the fifth to 99th percentile.”

Operators can also choose between three seat options to improve comfort levels in the cab. Additionally, a one-piece rounded windshield gives users higher levels of visibility, and more optimally placed external mirrors help to prevent operator fatigue. The loaders also include an updated HVAC system that quickly heats up, cools down or defogs in cold conditions.
