Man, it’s been three years already?
It certainly doesn’t feel like it’s been that long since I was walking the show floor of my first ConExpo-Con/Agg. And in just a couple weeks, the Portable Plants team and I will be back at the Las Vegas Convention Center for ConExpo-Con/Agg 2026.
The excitement surrounding this year’s show has been palpable among producers, contractors and manufacturers alike. Even dating back to August at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) exhibitor meeting, you could feel the energy. Exhibiting companies and show management couldn’t wait to get back to Las Vegas – and with good reason.
In just the last three years, there have been so many developments in the construction materials industry. Autonomy has continued to make a home for itself, AI is being incorporated more and more, companies are increasingly focusing on proactive maintenance – these are just a few of the trends we’ve been closely following. Now, with ConExpo finally upon us again, companies are anxious to showcase and see the latest equipment and technology offerings capitalizing on these trends.
ConExpo preview
Like other major industry shows – AGG1 or MINExpo, for instance – ConExpo always brings a flood of news. Our inboxes have been buzzing nonstop with announcements about everything from tried and true equipment to top-secret unveilings. The rate at which we’ve been receiving these updates – it’s been blistering – is a strong indicator of the health of the industry and the excitement surrounding the show.
