Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas’ 9A series of Tier 4 Final compact excavators function well in small spaces, according to Hyundai. The series includes the mini R17Z-9A, R25Z-9A, R35Z-9A, R55-9A and R60CR-9A models and the midi R80CR-9A model. All excavators are powered by either Kubota or Yanmar engines, which the company says provide efficient fuel combustion and reduced noise. A tilting left-side console makes it easier for operators to enter and exit the cab, and the left and right control levers are located for convenient access. The company says an adjustable suspension seat and space helps reduce operator stress and fatigue. Additionally, boom swing can be offset left or right, allowing the 9A series compact excavators to work well in congested areas.
