Crawler excavator offers improved cab displays

Doosan added the DX180LC-5 crawler excavator to its Tier 4 compliant lineup, replacing Doosan’s DX180LC-3 model. The crawler excavator features an improved 7-in. LCD screen, which allows operators to monitor excavator parameters while also viewing the rearview camera image. Critical machine data appears next to the camera view. With an optional side camera, a split screen allows both displays to be viewed at once. Doosan says the monitor includes a diesel exhaust fluid gauge to aid in fuel efficiency. In addition, Doosan placed an auto-shutdown system on the DX180LC-5 to help operators save fuel during non-working conditions. With the auto-shutdown system, operators can configure idle time from between three minutes to an hour.
