A new law created a new crushing opportunity for an equipment sales and rental company in Colombia.
Sanymaq, a company made up of about 80 employees, is now using a track-mounted impact crusher to recycle coke waste produced at smelters and foundries.
By first using a two-deck screen to separate the coke material and later combining it with a Rockster Recycler R700S impact crusher, which reduces oversize material, Sanymaq produces two grades of recycled material.
“Two grades of clean cubic material is what we were looking for so we can sell the aggregate for road base material,” says Jose Saturnino Barajas, Sanymaq owner.
According to Sanymaq, a metallurgic plant gets the recuperated metal fraction. Sanymaq receives a per-tonnage price for the recycled material that is then used in the smeltering process.
