Douglas Super Magnets are for use in helping to separate tramp ferrous metals from conveyed material. Based on designs that have been in use for more than 30 years Super Magnets are 30 percent more powerful than standard magnets and are designed to help protect expensive processing equipment such as crushers from the damage that can be caused by tramp metals. They are available in two styles: Manual and Self-Cleaning. Self-Cleaning Magnets are shipped complete, test run and ready to install. The standard drive is electric and an optional hydraulic drive is available on request.
