Caterpillar’s new M318F and M320F excavators were designed based on customer input to deliver added performance, operator convenience and lower costs, says the company. The machines feature a redesigned ROPS-compliant operator’s cabin with higher pressurization, larger doors, and new rain visor and light protectors, as well as an interior sound level of 71 dB. Equipped with Tier 4 Final Cat C7.1 Alert engines, the excavators include PIN code anti-theft systems. The M318F and M320F also have new blades that were redesigned to remain parallel to the ground at any height and to allow material to roll more easily in front of the blade.
