Gradall Industries added Tier 4 Final compliant diesel engines from Volvo Penta to its Series V hydraulic excavator models. Six Gradall excavators come with the updated engines, including the XL 3200 V, XL 4200 V, XL 5200 V, XL 3300 V, XL 4300 V and XL 5300 V. The excavators also include an upgraded 24-volt electrical system, which creates an improved power source, according to Gradall. The model’s telescoping boom, which tilts up to 220 degrees with full boom power, delivers constant boom forces and speeds throughout the dig cycle. The Series V hydraulic excavators also integrate an operator safety option into the cab structure to provide rollover protection that meets safety test requirements.
