John Deere added the 130G, 160G LC and 180G LC to its excavator lineup. All three excavators come equipped with Tier 4 Final John Deere PowerTech engines and offer the digging depth, lift capacity and arm and bucket dig force required for various industries. As implemented in other John Deere G-Series models, the company says operators don’t need to worry about diesel particulate filter (DPF) cleaning because it occurs automatically with no impact to machine operation. In addition, the excavators can go 15,000 hours before ash needs to be removed. John Deere adds that it moved the nine-pin diagnostic connector on the machines into the cabs to reduce diagnostic testing time for technicians. The company also designed the excavator hood for easier engine access. Additionally, the optional light package for the excavators now includes a hood light to provide more visibility to the engine compartment to see daily service points.
