ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023 is just six months away. Construction materials producers will undoubtedly have plenty of equipment and technology solutions to explore in Las Vegas.
While most product launches won’t be shared with the trade press until the weeks leading up to ConExpo-Con/Agg – or at the trade show itself – a handful of equipment manufacturers shared their preliminary plans for the March 14-18 event during an August meeting outside of Chicago.
Manufacturers were in the Windy City to glean ideas they can apply to maximize their ConExpo-Con/Agg investments. Portable plant manufacturers were among those in attendance at the pre-ConExpo-Con/Agg meeting put on by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and the International Fluid Power Exposition, including Eagle Crusher, McLanahan Corp. and Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions.
Daniel Friedman, vice president of marketing at Eagle Crusher, shared how his company plans to highlight some of its newest equipment – including a portable impactor and a portable jaw crusher.
“We’re really excited for the show after a tumultuous couple of years,” Friedman says. “But everyone at Eagle Crusher is ready to get back out in Vegas and see all of the customers.”
Claire Hoover, marketing and communications coordinator at McLanahan, was also at the Chicago meeting. She reflected on the last ConExpo-Con/Agg and offered a preview of the next one.
“In 2020, it was the first time we exhibited our family of companies in one space in Central Hall [of the Las Vegas Convention Center] with McLanahan, Anaconda [Equipment] and Eagle Iron Works. We’ll be doing that again in 2023.”
McLanahan also plans to unveil Rubble Crusher as a new brand following an acquisition involving UK-based CMB International.
“It will be the first time they enter the U.S. market at a show, so we’re extremely excited they’re going to be at ConExpo,” Hoover says. “They’ll be out in the Silver Lot ready to meet new customers and potential dealers, and expand that network in the U.S.”
Sandvik will also be present in the Silver Lot next March, with North America marketing manager Virginia Varela-Eyre noting that her company will showcase its QI353 mobile impact crusher along with a stationary cone crusher and more.
Also during the exhibitor meeting, AEM offered details about components that will be new to the 2023 show. In addition to highlighting the new West Hall at the convention center, AEM leaders discussed a new awards program for exhibitors and a tree-planting program every exhibitor and attendee will ultimately contribute to.
