Komatsu launched its Smart Construction Remote application in North America, which helps managers of large construction projects operate more economically and efficiently, according to the company.
Smart Construction Remote allows users to remotely support operators and send data to machines in the field – all without traveling to the jobsite.
Furthermore, users can search all connected assets and log in to a machine to see what the operator is seeing, Komatsu says, while also pinpointing machine location by jobsite.
According to the company, Smart Construction Remote’s software is compatible with all Komatsu intelligent machine control models, as well as select makes of machines installed with Topcon devices. In addition, Komatsu experts are able to help users maximize efficiency through the app.
Smart Construction Remote fits under the company’s new Smart Construction Solutions umbrella, which features a range of applications to help construction customers streamline costs, plan more effectively, better handle scheduling and management, and optimize processes remotely in near-real time, according to the company.
