A 575-hp Caterpillar C18 engine powers Komptech’s Crambo 6000, which is capable of processing 100 tons per hour. The 53,200-lb. shredder stands 14 ft. tall, has a feed height of 9.5 ft. and is capable of handling various forms of wood and green waste. Users can adjust the shred degree by exchanging the screen basket, which accommodates hole sizes between 80 and 300 mm. In addition, all Crambos can be tailored to the application using a range of options, including a star screen deck in the discharge duct to separate fine parts from the usable fraction. A hook lift platform, trailer chassis and steel tracks with hydraulic drive are options that provide the mobility.
