The Fayat Group acquired the Mecalac Group, with the transaction expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2025.

According to Mecalac, in the meantime, it will continue to operate as usual.

Mecalac is a France-based manufacturer of compact construction equipment for urban environments. Its equipment offerings include excavators, loaders, backhoe loaders, dumpers and compactors, as well as electric solutions to meet environmental challenges. The Mecalac Group has a presence in more than 85 countries and offers local support and services through its six subsidiaries around the world.

The Fayat Group, also based in France, is a manufacturer of road construction and maintenance equipment. Through its Road Equipment Division, the group produces a range of machinery and solutions covering the entire road lifecycle, including asphalt production plants; road building machinery; road maintenance equipment; soil compacting, milling and recycling equipment; and specialized construction products like street sweepers and cold mixing plants.

The Fayat Group owns several other brands including BOMAG, Marini, Dynapac and Secmair. The company operates in 170 companies with 25 production sites worldwide.
