Terex Environmental Equipment’s (TEE) TDS V20 tracked medium-speed shredder combines slow- and high-speed shredder benefits to create reusable products from waste in a single pass. A Scania DC13 500 hp engine powers the machine, which comes equipped with a user-friendly color display and an auto-reversing variable pitch fan. TEE says the TDS V20’s design allows for minimal clearances on all moving parts to ensure a precise cutting action rather than a shredding action. The double-shaft shredder includes an independent hydraulic drive, replaceable cutting teeth and an end-product sizing screen. Should contaminants enter the machine, the TDS V20’s protection system commands the shafts to stop, which forces the sizing screens to drop. Large side access service doors can be lowered hydraulically to remove the contaminants.
