Sandvik Construction introduced an addition to the 341 jaw crusher range with the launch of the new QJ341+.

This model incorporates a double deck pre-screen as standard, broadening Sandvik’s offering of the QJ341 mobile jaw crusher.

A pre-screen feature provides high amplitude for excellent separation, according to Sandvik. This enables the removal of a large number of fines, resulting in greater efficiency, higher productivity and less wear on the crusher. The QJ341+ should be effective in quarrying applications where a high proportion of fines in the feed material are found, the company adds, as the new pre-screen “screens out” this material before it enters the crushing chamber.

To complement the pre-screen, Sandvik designed a new telescopic natural fines conveyor, with a discharge height of 10 ft., 3 in. to deal with the increased flow of pre-screened material. The dirt chute was designed with a steeper angle to enable a faster transfer of material, while also increasing a producer’s ability to deal with sticky material. The three-position dirt chute allows all material passing the pre-screen grizzly to be diverted onto either the main conveyor or the natural fines conveyor.

According to Sandvik, the QJ341+ includes a number of the same characteristics as the standard QJ341 model, including a hydraulically adjustable closed-side setting, a reversible jaw and hydraulic drive that enables the crusher to start under load, thereby maximizing uptime. The QJ341+ also features the Sandvik programmable logic controller system and a control screen.
