Morbark named Kevin Cotter, a former member of the Michigan House of Representatives, as its governmental sales manager.
Cotter previously served as a member of Michigan’s House of Representatives, from January 2011 to December 2016, representing District 99. For the past two years, he served as the state’s speaker of the house, Morbark adds.
“We’re excited to bring Kevin Cotter to our team,” says John Foote, senior vice president at Morbark. “With his knowledge and experience, he’ll be able to jump in on day one to work with municipalities and increase Morbark’s market share in the industry.”
Prior to his political career, Cotter served as a partner at the Kerr Law Firm PLLC in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He also worked with two companies in the transportation industry to supervise shipments, human resources management and safety operations.
“Morbark is an incredible company with a rich history, and I am proud to join their team,” Cotter says. “I look forward to helping municipalities navigate and utilize the government sales programs so they can more easily acquire the best equipment for them.”
Morbark, based in Winn, Michigan, builds equipment for customers serving the forestry, recycling, sawmill, biomass, landscaping/irrigation, rental and tree care industries.
