The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) partnered with XBE, a software company providing operations management solutions for the horizontal construction industry, to develop an AI-based service called ‘Hey NAPA.’

NAPA says this service, now available on NAPA’s website and at HeyNAPA.com, offers its members and industry stakeholders a faster and more efficient way to access the association’s valuable content and technical documents on all aspects of asphalt pavements. Hey NAPA was unveiled at NAPA’s Midyear Meeting in Kansas City, Missouri, in an AI-focused session featuring XBE CEO Sean Devine.

“We’re thrilled to partner with NAPA and bring our AI-driven technology to its members,” Devine says. “By leveraging our expertise and existing infrastructure, we’re confident that Hey NAPA will provide members with the quick, reliable answers they need, enabling them to make informed decisions and access NAPA’s excellent content more efficiently than ever before.”

The collaboration builds on the success of XBE’s ‘Hey Kayla’ service, which has aided user education for XBE customers by providing answers to questions about the XBE platform. With Hey NAPA, members will have access to a powerful search engine that leverages AI technology to quickly and accurately provide answers, best practices and document links based on NAPA content, according to the association.

XBE created and will maintain the Hey NAPA search engine, ensuring its accuracy and efficiency, while NAPA provides the necessary publications and data to keep the engine current and monitor performance to continually enhance the user experience, NAPA says.

“Our partnership with XBE is a testament to our shared commitment to provide NAPA members with superior resources and tools,” says Brett Williams, director of engineering and technical support at NAPA. “We’re excited to see the positive impact Hey NAPA will have on our members and the industry as a whole.”
