Portable plant developments you might have missed
The Niagara F-Class portable plant from Haver & Boecker Niagara features a circular-motion inclined vibrating screen that allows operations to increase production by 25 percent while making screen media changeouts easier on an inclined vibrating screen. It also reduces pegging and horsepower requirements. The plant is manufactured with six hydraulic run-on jacks to raise and lower the vibrating screen quickly. In doing so, Haver & Boecker Niagara says producers gain the production benefits of an inclined screen with the maintenance benefits of a horizontal screen. In addition, plants outfitted with Haver & Boecker Niagara’s Ty-Rail quick-tensioning system can cut screen changeout times in half, according to the company.
Portable unit presents new crushing, screening possibilities
The RapiDeploy from Eagle Crusher is designed to make transport, setup and production efficiency a snap for off-site crushing and screening jobs. According to Eagle Crusher, the RapiDeploy is the only portable plant with built-in, retractable conveyors that can crush, screen, separate and stockpile in one pull. The plant features a two-product screen with a third reliever deck, allowing for increased productivity while producing two cubical spec products. The RapiDeploy allows for moving stockpiled material less often, the company adds. It is easily serviced without sacrificing portability, featuring a two-step, 5-ft. grizzly deck to remove fines before crushing.
New options for scalping, screening and more
EvoQuip, a Terex brand, added the Falcon range of finishing screens to its portfolio. The Falcon range consists of the Falcon 1220 and Falcon 1230, providing solutions for scalping, screening and stockpiling in self-contained units. According to EvoQuip, the Falcons provide efficient classification of fines and are ideal for processing sand and gravel, crushed stone, coal, topsoil and demolition waste. The first of the Falcons arrived in the U.S. with EvoQuip distributor Midwest Crushing & Screening, which has been serving Illinois and Wisconsin since 2008.
Compact machines are ideal for recycling
The SMI Compact crushing and screening plants from Screen Machine are significantly smaller than the standard-line plants Screen Machine has been manufacturing for more than a half-century. In fact, the company says the SMI Compact units are about 20 percent the size of a standard Screen Machine plant. The 90TS screening plant, in particular, can process up to 90 tph, and the machines can be fed by hand, by a mini excavator or by skid-steer loader. Screen Machine says the SMI Compact machines are ideal for jobs such as concrete recycling, allowing material to be repurposed on-site.
Impactor produces saleable sand from waste byproduct
The Rocky Transformer from AMCAST produces high-quality sand from a variety of aggregate waste materials. The Rocky Transformer produces 85 to 100 percent usable sand product from 100 percent impact crushing product in one pass, the company says. The use of fewer wear parts keeps the focus on production rather than machine maintenance, AMCAST adds.
Next-gen crusher addresses blockages, material bridging
The Mobicat MC 110(i) EVO2, a mobile jaw crushing plant of a new generation from Kleemann, features a two-stage overload system that effectively prevents blockages and material bridging. If uncrushables enter, Kleemann says the closed-side setting opens twice as fast as the predecessor plant or, as an option, up to 40 times faster. The crushing plant features Spective, Kleemann’s digital operating concept that has an intuitive structure. A 12-in. touchpanel was optimized with regard to user guidance and visualization, Kleemann says. New components such as a small radio remote control were integrated in the Spective world.
High-capacity crusher available in compact format
The new Joy HRX 1000 is a hard rock sizer designed to push the envelope on where sizers can be successfully applied. According to Komatsu, a high-capacity and compact package make the HRX 1000 a choice for hard rock underground or mobile applications. Utilizing Joy pick technology, the HRX 1000 is designed to cut through abrasive materials that traditional sizers cannot. Having been used in an installed base of more than 10,000 pick-utilizing machines, including feeder breakers, longwall shearers and continuous miners, Komatsu says Joy pick technology has evolved to deliver the productivity customers are looking for in a variety of environments. In addition, Komatsu says it reached an agreement with Metso Outotec to provide sizers for its stationary and mobile crushing stations. The first project involved the installation of a Joy HRX 1000 on the Metso Outotec Lokotrack LT1510RC track plant. Komatsu says the sizer is crushing minerals used for cement production ranging from wet and sticky to hard rock.
