The addition of a fine screen to an existing wash plant opens the door for the Texas producer to enter the golf sands market.

Resolve Aggregates, a sand and gravel producer in Ravenna, Texas, added on to its sand and gravel wash plant as a means to explore new markets.

Resolve, which utilizes a wet processing system from CDE, integrated a fine screen into its plant. The upgrade specifically involves an Infinity F1-64 fine screen, providing an additional cut point within the existing fine sand product that allows for the production of a high-value golf sand.

According to CDE, the new screen processes 50 tph of in-spec #30 cut to #140 golf sands. The final materials will meet golf industry requirements and enable Resolve to supply a new market.

“This upgrade is a prime example of and great testament to the flexibility of CDE solutions,” says James McShay, CDE business development manager for North America. “The extensive benefits of one straightforward addition highlights the ease of plant expansion with our modular approach and how it contributes to future growth and success of a company that continues to develop and enhance its processes.”

The modular approach means CDE equipment can fit seamlessly into an existing process to minimize plant downtime while upgrades are commissioned, CDE adds.

“We have been working with Resolve Aggregates for six years and have seen such marked differences in the company, from a relocation to venturing into new avenues that help maximize return on investment,” McShay says. “With full accountability for the service and direct support from our team, we look forward to continuing the journey as Resolve Aggregates grows further.”

Resolve Aggregates has been processing fine and coarse aggregates since the mid-1980s, supplying materials to the Texas construction industry.
