Screencore launched the latest addition to its Orbiter trommel range, the 206R.
According to Screencore, the Orbiter 206R combines precision and power for a highly focused, productive solution suited to the requirements of larger producers. The Orbiter range is suitable for aggregates and compost production, as well as recycling waste and construction materials. The company says these trommels are designed to process organic materials as well.
The Orbiter 206R follows in the footsteps of the 125, 175 and 237. According to Screencore, the 125 is designed for work sites where space is at a premium and is ideal for contractors who need to relocate quickly and often. The 175, meanwhile, delivers high productivity from a compact chassis and features hydraulic folding conveyors and drum angle adjustment with a large infeed hopper. Finally, the 237 is designed for large operations with an 18-cu.-yd. dump-hopper and a 48-in. wide feed belt linked to a load sensing drum.
“The 206R is the very latest Screencore trommel, and we are genuinely excited about it,” says Ciarán Ryan, director of Screencore. “Designed to deliver high levels of mobility, cost effectiveness and, ultimately, profitability for its users. It encompasses all the latest Screencore developed and patented features and will be released in Europe over the coming months. Its 20 ft. x 6 ft. drum is interchangeable with all other similar models, meaning it can seamlessly fit into an existing fleet and enable the utilization of any existing stock of spare drums.”
Along with an expansive drum, the 206R features a 9-cu.-yd. hopper capacity with a 47-in. heavy belt. It also has a large throat depth and a variable feed angle for unencumbered feed, according to Screencore. Independent, radio-controlled belt speed controls and a large PLC interface with full-auto functionality have been designed for ease of operation and flexibility.
For enhanced mobility, the 206R features a Cat engine and 13-ft. tracks with two-speed drive and remote control. The company says the 180-degree radial fines conveyor has been developed to enhance stockpiling capabilities and comes with radio remote control and auto-functionality.
“Screencore continuously engages with our dealers and end-users to innovate and refine our products,” Ryan says. “As a result, we have developed a range of Orbiter trommel screens and stockpilers that are specifically designed for the efficient handling and processing of materials. Like all our products, these new additions prioritize ease of transport and user-friendliness, ensuring that they, and the new Orbiter 206R, meet the practical needs of our customers while setting new standards in the industry.”
