Shredder preprocesses hard-to-shred waste

Customers sometimes require a size-defined, homogeneous product for downstream screening and separation steps. The updated XXF shredding unit on Komptech’s Terminator shredder addresses these demands. The single-shaft universal shredder preprocesses difficult-to-shred waste, including construction waste, demolition waste, tires, carpet or paper rolls. It features blade mounting of the fine system, coupled with a new tooth arrangement that puts the full shredding force on just one tooth at any given time. A counter comb aids the precision cut by adjusting down to a shredding gap of less than a tenth of an inch.
