Furukawa Rock Drill USA’s Fxa series of small breakers – including the Fx15a, Fx25a, Fx35a, Fx45a and Fx55a – feature a new piston design that has a longer stroke length and an increased diameter. The faster speed of the larger piston combined with an increased stroke creates greater energy, the company says.
The modified cylinder liner accommodates the larger piston and decreases the buildup of internal heat, while the seal retainer compensates for higher back-head pressure. Other new design components on the small breakers include replaceable front wear bushing, wide oil flow ranges and a variety of mounting options to accommodate any carrier or application.
Both the Fx45a and Fx55a breakers are configured for numerous mounting positions that allow for fast and easy changes between skid-steer loaders and mini excavators. They are ideal for site preparation, foundation removal, road repair, driveway repair, sidewalk repair and pedestrian bridge repair.
The Fx15a, Fx25a and Fx35a breakers are smaller than the Fx45a and Fx55a, making them ideal for use in tight work environments. They can also be used on mini excavators, compact utility loaders and skid-steer loaders.
