Daanen & Janssen, a century-old Wisconsin-based producer known for its contract crushing services, faced the challenge of increasing production demands while navigating stricter regulations, such as noise ordinances that limited operational hours. To address these issues, the company sought a more efficient and streamlined solution that could boost output and reduce operating time and costs.
Collaborating with Superior Industries and Rock Machinery, Daanen & Janssen upgraded to a new portable plant designed for higher efficiency and easier maintenance. The new setup includes a Patriot® P400 Cone Plant, a 7’ x 20’ Guardian® Screen Plant, and two PowerStacker® Conveyors. This plant configuration not only increased production by 100 tons per hour depending on the material but also significantly cut fuel consumption by consolidating multiple crushers into a single, more powerful unit.
The plant’s design emphasizes super portability and ease of setup, featuring pinless hydraulic jacks and integrated conveyors that streamline the assembly process. This allows for quicker setup and teardown, enabling the company to adapt more rapidly to varying site conditions and regulatory environments. This strategic upgrade empowers Daanen & Janssen to meet production targets more effectively, ensuring continued growth and operational efficiency in their centennial year.
