Takeuchi, a Georgia-based manufacturer of compact equipment, named Austin Smith a national account sales representative.
In his new role, Smith will be responsible for sales and support of national account customers across both the United States and Canada.
Smith joins Takeuchi with more than a decade of experience with compact equipment in the landscape industry. He most recently served as sports turf manager at Precision Turf, a position he held since 2014, managing more than 60 acres of athletic fields in the metro Atlanta area.
“Coming in with a great deal of in-the-field experience and knowing and operating compact equipment firsthand made it an easy choice to bring Austin onboard,” says Scott Place, director of national accounts at Takeuchi. “Austin is a go-getter and very knowledgeable, which will be a perfect fit to call on our national account customers.
