Case Construction Equipment introduced the TV620B compact track loader (CTL), which the company says is the “largest and most powerful” CTL ever built. The TV620B has a 114-hp and 6,200-pound rated operating capacity. According to Case CE, it includes standard adjustable electrohydraulic controls, high-flow hydraulics, auto ride control, one-way self-leveling, a hydraulic coupler, an auto-reversing fan, LED lights and a one-year subscription to Case SiteWatch telematics. Operators of the TV620B will have access to the Case SiteConnect module and can remotely connect and update software through the SiteManager app. They will have access to the Case Uptime Center for collaborative fleet management between Case CE, the local Case CE dealer and the equipment owner.
Next-gen tire pressure control for trailers

Hendrickson Trailer Commercial Vehicle Systems unveiled a new tire pressure control system in the Tiremaax Pro-LB. According to Hendrickson, the system builds on the technology of Tiremaax Pro that inflates, relieves and equalizes tire pressures across all wheel positions, with the added benefit of load-based pressure adjustments. Unlike a passenger car, Hendrickson says commercial vehicles experience significant changes in overall vehicle weight between the loaded and unloaded condition. The change is so significant that the optimum air pressure for the tires is different for laden versus unladen vehicles. Hendrickson’s Tiremaax Pro-LB helps to eliminate the guesswork of tire pressure management by monitoring the pressure in the air springs and reacting to changing loads automatically, the company says.
Yard loader designed as a three-pass match

Komatsu debuted the 299-hp WA480-8 yard loader that’s suitable for truck loading, carrying, stockpiling and hopper charging applications. The curved side edges of the Komatsu-designed 7.2-cu.-yd. bucket are built to minimize spillage, and the internal space and shape provide smooth material flow. The long bucket jaw and decreased strike plane angle help deliver easy fill and low resistance during pile penetration, Komatsu says, and the integrated load meter system in the cab lets operators see how much material is in the bucket. The WA480-8 offers visibility to the pile and surroundings, an advanced joystick steering system and an air-suspension seat, the company adds.
Engineered for high performance under demanding conditions

The 909ECR from LiuGong North America is a 9-ton midi-excavator designed to compete in the 8- to 10-ton class. The 909ECR features a limited tail-swing design with a wide undercarriage, giving operators a versatile, best-in-weight, multifunctional tool carrier with greater lift capacity and greater stability, LiuGong says. The 909ECR has an operating weight of 19,180 pounds and a bucket capacity of 0.3 to 0.42 cu. yd. The lifting capacity at ground level is over 11,500 pounds, LiuGong adds. A 62-hp Yanmar engine powers the machine. Ergonomically designed controls and a feature-rich cab make operating the 909ECR easier, according to the company.
New hammers built for large excavators

The new H190 S and H215 S Performance Series hammers deliver consistent breaking power, Caterpillar says. According to Cat, their efficient operation cycle results in less waste from internal heat for more power delivered to the tool. With the piston and tool matched in diameter and mass, Cat says the hammers offer increased power transmission frequency. Operators can switch power mode from high frequency/low power to low frequency/high power, giving operators the ability to finetune power to the material being broken. While powerful, Cat says the H190 S and H215 S offer operator comfort and machine protection with their buffering material that dampens vibration feedback to the carrier. The hammers can be configured for joystick or pedal control to suit the operator’s preference when working in quarry, demolition and general construction applications.
Trailer option made for particular size loads

The new Magnitude 60HD modular lowbed trailer is a heavy-duty, 60-ton trailer that hits a “sweet spot” for operators who need more capacity than standard 55-ton models but want to avoid the financial jump to a 65- or 70-ton trailer, Fontaine Heavy-Haul says. The Magnitude 60HD hauls 60 tons in 16 ft., utilizing the Fontaine EQ2 spreader and two additional axles. It is equipped with a modular tridem bogie and can connect with four different deck options so users can match the load configuration to the task at hand: from a flat level, drop side rail or beam deck to an extendable deck. According to Fontaine, its new trailer is designed for operation in regions where spread axle configurations are required to maximize trailer loads.
