John Deere introduced two new wheel loaders: the 844 and 904 X-Tier. Engineered to help high-production customers move more material while burning less fuel, Deere says the new X-Tier machines combine advanced electrified drivetrain technology, intelligent machine controls and optional operator-awareness features to deliver measurable productivity and value. Both the 844 and 904 X-Tier models feature the John Deere Electric Variable Transmission (EVT), which replaces traditional drivetrain constraints with electronically managed power. The result is smoother operation, faster response and optimized efficiency across demanding applications compared to other P-Tier models. The EVT system enables single-pedal control and decouples hydraulic performance from engine speed, reducing operator input while maintaining consistent power.

Handler attachments suitable for range of tire sizes
Manitou’s Tire Handler attachments are designed for use on the company’s MHT telescopic handlers. The company says its handler range excels in heavy and bulk material handling, even on challenging terrain. The Tire Handler attachments are available in four sizes, with capacities ranging from 5,512 to 26,455 pounds, offering safe tire removal and fast changes in mining environments. The attachments can be safely controlled from the cab, with each movement activated by two operator actions (a button, plus joystick), or with the machine’s remote control for better visibility. Anti-fall arms further enhance the attachments’ safety. Manitou says each Tire Handler model offers complex hydraulic movements that improve efficiency, including two body rotations – one for leveling and the second for pad rotation – along with side shift, machine tilt and telescopic extension.

Battery-powered mini loader offers emission-free operation
Brokk debuted the Ecovolve battery-powered EL500 mini loader to the North American market. Brokk is the North American distributor for Ecovolve equipment. The EL500, is designed to meet the demand for emission-free construction and demolition jobsite solutions, according to Brokk. It combines electric drive technology with compact maneuverability and can lift up to 1,110 pounds. With a compact 32-in. footprint, Brokk says the EL500 can operate in areas larger machines can’t access. The mini loader features a heavy-duty chassis and reinforced structure, making it suitable for demanding applications. Interchangeable attachments, including a bucket, hydraulic breaker, floor scraper, vacuum lift, loading bucket and pallet fork, allow the EL500 to operate across multiple phases of a project.
