Vermeer says grinder to process large debris

Vermeer’s HG8000TX horizontal grinder processes large-diameter wood and large, brushy debris. Its design incorporates several features to help reduce material spillage and jobsite cleanup time. The HG8000TX features dual-sided reversible hammers and cutter blocks that, according to Vermeer, provide increased cutting performance and lower maintenance. A replaceable mill liner fully lines the sides, floor and underside of the feed roller carrier to protect structural integrity. A 950-hp Caterpillar C2 engine powers the unit, which weighs 125,000 lbs. and has a feed height of 8.6 ft.
