Flygt Bibo Alpha is the latest addition to Xylem’s portfolio of smart solutions. Utilizing decision intelligence, Flygt Bibo Alpha automatically adapts to its environment and only operates when needed. Xylem says the dewatering pump delivers energy savings of up to 60 percent compared to traditional dewatering pumps. Operational wear and tear is reduced by up to 70 percent, Xylem adds, as instances of snoring and dry running are minimized. These lead to as much as a 50 percent reduction in repair and maintenance costs, the company says. Additionally, Xylem says Bibo Alpha features 30 percent fewer components to reduce the amount of inventory needed. According to Xylem, the pump’s plug-and-play capability means no configuration is needed.

Filter press offers flexible design, variable throughput

Developed to meet the needs of the quarrying, mining and C&D waste recycling industries, CDE says its new ProPress filter press integrates technologies to deliver operational efficiency and maximum water recovery. According to CDE, its ProPress benefits from a flexible design and variable throughput that can be scaled to fit the processing volume of any operation. Unlike traditional filter presses, the CDE system is dual feed, meaning sludge is fed from both sides of the press for what the company describes as “improved efficiency and faster cycle times.” Additionally, CDE says optimized sludge feed pressure allows for faster dewatering to increase overall throughput. An overhead beam design supports this, reducing stress on the unit and improving its durability. The ProPress is available in a range of sizes to suit all markets and applications, according to CDE.

Terex Washing Systems launched Stream software, providing the market with a system that harnesses real-time data to provide insights that can ultimately enhance productivity and reduce downtime, according to the company. Stream is designed to change the way operators interact with their equipment, delivering descriptive, predictive and actionable information, Terex Washing Systems says. With the ability to track tasks and keep records via a mobile app, the company says Stream simplifies maintenance management and allows users to unlock greater efficiencies. Stream offers a comprehensive overview of connected assets, providing users with data such as production figures, machine status and maintenance notifications. The company says having this data enables proactive decision-making and performance optimization. The Stream system includes features for logging daily checks, scheduling lubrication, and recording issues or deviations. Additionally, tasks can be assigned to factory or dealer representatives.
