John Deere equipped its 444K, 524K and 544K wheel loaders with Tier 4 Final engines to meet emissions standards. The updated engines allow operators to work anywhere, even in nonattainment areas. The engine delivers torque that helps the loaders maintain good boom and bucket speed in and out of piles for heaped loads of both wet and hard-packed material. The three K-Series loaders implement excavator-style hydraulics that senses the load and delivers the flow needed for smooth, combined functions and fast work cycles. To eliminate downtime, the loaders come with remote battery terminals for easier jump-starting. All three models also include a multifunction monitor with diagnostic and maintenance information and a sound suppression package to reduce engine noise, which helps to decrease operator fatigue. Additionally, the K-Series wheel loaders feature a keyless start and two optional radio offerings with an auxiliary port, XM satellite radio and Bluetooth capabilities.
