Best Companies Group added WPT Power Corp., a mechanical power transmission manufacturer, to its list of best companies to work for in Texas in 2017.
Best Companies Group’s Texas list consists of large, medium and small companies throughout the state. WPT Power ranked 26 out of 40 companies in the small employer category on the list, according to WPT Power.

The Texas list launched in 2006 as a joint project by the Texas Association of Business, Society for Human Resource Management-Texas State Council, the publishers of Texas Monthly and Best Companies Group. The group evaluates companies based on workplace policies, benefits, operational systems, communication, overall culture and employee satisfaction.
WPT Power Corp. manufactures clutches, brakes, power take-offs, hydraulic pump drives and winch products. It also manufactures pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and spring-set controlled power transmission products and systems for the industrial, energy, forestry, marine, agriculture, steel processing, mining, dynamometers, paper and converting, and off-highway industries.
