Developed for applications such as conveyor unloading points and other small spaces, Dust Control Technology’s DustBoss DB-M Mini provides effective suppression without material disruption or saturation. The DB-M runs on water pressure alone. Generating a cascading mist of droplets, the unit has a throw of about 10 ft. under calm conditions. Carl Harr, dust control specialist with Dust Control Technology, says the DB-M is best suited to applications involving very fine dust particles such as slag dust or fly ash.
The DB-M’s standard boom length is 2 ft., but it can be specified anywhere from 1 to 15 ft. The DB-M is fitted with a misting head, featuring nine atomizing nozzles. Additionally, the DB-M’s proprietary variable particle sizing technology allows specialized nozzles to be added, removed or replaced on the head in order to customize droplet sizes. An optional dosing pump can also be attached for more accurate metering of odor control additives.
