Edge Innovate debuted the Screenpro S16 scalping screen, the latest addition to the Screenpro range of equipment.
This launch follows the introduction of the Screenpro S18 heavy-duty tracked scalping screen in 2024. Edge Innovate says the S16 builds upon the performance and design of the S18, offering a more compact solution without compromising efficiency or versatility.
The Screenpro S16 is designed to handle feed capacities of 600 tph, which Edge Innovate says makes the screen an ideal solution for mid- to large-scale operations. The plant also features a 150-sq.-ft. screening surface, a wide oversize discharge conveyor and adjustable screening angles from 14 to 20 degrees, ensuring high throughput and product quality.
Edge Innovate’s new screen incorporates a 16 ft. x 5 ft. two-deck screen with a heavy-duty feed hopper, allowing it to primarily and secondarily screen a range of materials including construction debris, aggregates and recycled materials. The S16 can also utilize a variety of screen media options such as woven mesh, punch plate, finger screens and grizzly deck. Edge Innovate says this versatility enables users to tailor the machine to various feed materials and final grain sizes.
The Screenpro S16 can be equipped with both over-band magnets and magnetic head drums to meet the demands of recycling applications.
Additionally, Edge Innovate says the S16 is designed for ease of use and maximum operational uptime thanks to a low-level feed hopper, two- or three-way split configuration, hydraulic folding conveyors and a fully integrated power unit with large service access. Also featuring sequential start/stop functionality, the screen’s user-friendly control system enhances performance and safety, according to the company.
To ensure minimal downtime, the screenbox features hydraulic lift-up functionality for quick and efficient mesh exchanges. This process is supported by full-access walkways on both sides of the screen.
The S16 also offers remote functionality for improved efficiency and safety. All major function on the screen – tracking, feed conveyor speed adjustment, sequential start up, hopper jacklegs and more – can be remotely operated from up to 100 meters away.
Powered by either a Caterpillar Tier 4 Final/Stage V engine, the Screenpro S16 drive system offers reliable, durable and fuel-efficient screening, according to Edge Innovate. Both the S16 and S18 models are available with dual power and electric hybrid drivetrains for CO2 emission-free operation, the company says.
“During the research phase, we engaged closely with our distribution network to discuss specifications and the core requirements for our customers,” says Steven Conway, territory sales manager at Edge Innovate. “I believe we’ve successfully designed and launched the Screenpro S16, which we feel is robust, reliable, efficient and user-friendly. It’s also very easy to service, maintain and transport – features that we see as core requirements for any customer in the quarrying and recycling industries
“Edge Innovate will continue to widen our product offering through the Screenpro range, allowing Edge to meet the varying applications and budgets of our customers,” he adds. “The Screenpro S18 and now the newly revealed S16 illustrate our commitment to innovation. Expect to see future editions to this range in 2025 as the EDGE team continues to enhance our Screenpro offering”.
