Kilmurray: Answering the call for sustainability

Heading into 2024, Haver & Boecker Niagara’s Peter Kilmurray says industry members will need to address several key factors.

Continued federal funding for roads and infrastructure, as well as an increasing demand for raw materials, will drive anticipated growth for the industry. We’ve had a successful year in the U.S. aggregate market due to these reasons, and to say the future is exciting for Haver & Boecker Niagara is an understatement.

The industry needs to respond to lingering supply chain disruptions and labor shortages, as well as a rising call from regulators and customers for decarbonized operations. The most successful plants will approach these factors not as barriers, but as opportunities to develop more efficient, sustainable mining practices.

We are seeing companies look to suppliers for more than just projects, but rather for solutions to address challenges and maximize productivity and production.
