Yanmar Compact Equipment launched a fully-electric equipment trio that the company says are tailed to meet the diverse demands of modern and sustainable construction projects and indoor work environments.
The three new pieces are the V8e wheel loader, SV17e mini excavator and C08e tracked carrier. All three models match the output of Yanmar CE’s internal combustion engine compact equipment, the company says, allowing for seamless integration into a broad scope of applications.
SV17e mini excavator
The SV17e features two operating modes to optimize battery life and adapt to varying project demands. Ideal for compact spaces, Yanmar says, the SV17e measures just over 7.5 ft. tall and has a variable width of 3.2 to 4.3 ft.
Its nearly silent operation minimizes auditory disturbance, enhancing the comfort for machine operators and making it particularly suitable for working indoors, as well as in environmentally sensitive or noise-restricted areas, according to Yanmar. Additionally, zero emissions offer a more operator and eco-friendly workspace.
The SV17e’s capabilities are enhanced by a maximum digging depth of 8.5 ft., a reach of up to 13.1 ft. and a maximum dumping height of 8.7 ft.
Other enhanced features include an LCD interface and an optional fast charger for quick replenishment with a slow-charging time of approximately four hours and a fast-charging time of about two hours.
V8e wheel loader
The V8e features four working modes (bucket, fork, eco and power) to fit the operator’s needs and a bucket volume between 28.25 cu. ft. and 42.3 cu. ft.
It is further coupled with a high-capacity battery that provides up to 4.2 hours of continuous operation in bucket mode, Yanmar says. The loader also features a synchronous motor offering 22 kW rated and 30 kW peak power, enhancing its efficiency in various operations.
The V8e features a newly designed cabin with increased visibility and comfort, the company says. Features include an adjustable armrest and steering column, heated seat, and both LED headlights and LED work lights for optimal visibility. The unit also comes with an on-board fast charger (11 kW standard, upgradeable to 22 kW) and includes common adapters, allowing for easy integration into existing power infrastructures.
It also comes with Yanmar’s Smart Control technology, including four work modes, with an all-wheel electric drive.
C08e tracked carrier
Yanmar’s C08e is designed to excel across the toughest terrains, according to Yanmar.
Its electric motor provides 5.5 kW rated and 6.5 kW peak power, with a hydrostatic transmission for smooth handling and operation on inclinations up to 20 degrees. The C08e’s haul body can carry between 12 to 14.8 cu. ft., tailored for high-demand tasks.
The vehicle operates on a 10.4 kWh battery, featuring three selectable working modes (eco, performance and high performance) to optimize energy use and extend battery life up to three hours in the most demanding mode, the company says.
For charging, the C08e uses a standard 3.3 kW off-board charger, compatible with a P17 blue plug for grid connection and a REMA socket for direct machine linkage, which fully recharges the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent capacity in 3.5 hours. The C08e also features automatic electric motor shutdown and optional vessel configurations.
