Breaker line suitable for wide range of mobile equipment

Blue Diamond Attachments introduced its line of hydraulic breakers designed for construction, demolition and quarry applications – as well as underwater jobs. The line includes 12 models that are compatible with excavators, mini-skid, skid steers and compact track loaders. Blue Diamond says its offerings fit equipment ranging from 1,500 lbs. to 55-ton class excavators. All Blue Diamond breakers feature a vibration-dampening system consisting of a polyurethane shell that wraps around the mono-block and sits inside the Hardox steel outer casing. This design significantly reduces vibration transfer to the host machine, protecting hydraulic components, pins and bushings from excessive wear while improving operator comfort, according to Blue Diamond.

Skid steer, CTL collection offers remote access to operational details

Manitou launched three large-frame skid steers (the 3250 V, 3350 V and 3600 V) and two compact track loaders (CTLs) (the 3350 VT and 3600 VT). The offerings range in operating capacity from 3,250 lbs. to 3,600 lbs. All five models are built with a vertical-lift design optimized for truck loading and lifting and placing palletized materials, according to Manitou. The new line of equipment are “Manitou Connected Machines,” meaning they provide instant remote access to recent activity, operation codes, CAN data and service alerts, according to Manitou. Owners and operators can stay connected with the myManitou app, which allows them to monitor machine location, fuel levels, operating hours and set geofences for additional control and security. The app also offers access to documents, including the operator’s manual.

Excavator pair designed for residential, commercial work

Komatsu released two new excavators: the PC220LC-12 and the PC220LCi-12. Both models feature a cab and controls designed for operator comfort, efficiency and productivity, according to Komatsu. The PC220LCi-12 features IMC 3.0, the company’s latest intelligent machine control technology, incorporating automation enhancements to improve operator productivity, the company says. The 21- to 24-ton-class hydraulic excavators are designed for residential and commercial contractors and are suitable for basic land clearing, general earthwork or more advanced GPS design-driven site development. Compared to the PC210LC-11, the company says both excavators feature a larger cab, increased fuel efficiency, reduced maintenance costs and significant performance upgrades. The PC220LCi-12 also features 3D boundary control, allowing operators to set a work-restriction surface for height, depth, front, back and side boundaries.
